Porto iGaming

Certification services agreement

The terms between Porto iGaming and an applicant or certificate holder. Accepted when the application is submitted.

1. Parties and subject

This agreement is between Porto iGaming, an independent private certification body, and the company named in the application (the applicant; after issue, the holder). It governs the compliance audit, the certificate, its monitoring and renewal.

2. Nature of the certificate

The certificate attests compliance with the Porto iGaming certification standards. It is not a government gambling licence and is not issued on behalf of any public authority. The holder remains solely responsible for any licence the law of its markets requires and never presents the certificate or the seal as such a licence.

3. Application

The applicant gives complete and true information and documents and keeps them current. Where the certificate type has an application fee, it is due with the application and covers the audit; it is not refunded once the audit has started.

4. Decision

Porto iGaming decides on the application after its audit and may ask for more information, approve, or reject it with reasons. On approval the certification fee for the first billing period (a month or a year, as chosen in the application) is invoiced; the certificate is issued when it is paid.

5. Certificate

The certificate covers one operation and the domains listed on it. It runs for the billing period paid for and is renewed by paying the certification fee for the next period. It is personal to the holder and cannot be transferred.

6. Standards

The holder complies with the certification standards published at portoigaming.com/standards, as amended with at least 30 days' notice.

7. Domains and seal

Each certified domain carries the DNS TXT record issued for it for as long as it is used. The validation seal is shown on every certified domain. Domains serving the brand outside the certificate are added or taken down.

8. Monitoring

The holder accepts automatic compliance scans of its public website, mirror searches and document requests, and answers forwarded complaints within 10 business days.

9. Suspension and withdrawal

Porto iGaming may suspend the certificate for unpaid fees after the grace period, or for breaches after hearing the holder; it may withdraw the certificate for serious or repeated breaches, false information, insolvency or presenting the certificate as a government licence. Fees paid are not refunded on suspension or withdrawal.

10. Confidentiality

Documents provided are kept confidential and used only for certification and monitoring, subject to disclosure to competent authorities where the law requires it.

11. Final provisions

Notices are given by e-mail to the addresses on file. Changes to this agreement are announced 30 days in advance.
