Questions and answers

Short answers to what operators and players ask most.

Certification

Is a Porto iGaming certificate a gambling licence?

No. Porto iGaming is an independent, private certification body. The certificate attests that you passed our compliance audit and are monitored against our standards. Where a market requires a government licence, you still need it.

Who can apply?

Companies offering games of chance to players (B2C) and companies supplying them with games, platforms or aggregation (B2B). If the company does not exist yet, tick "incorporation needed" in the application.

How long does it take?

Most complete files are decided within 15 business days after the last document is in. The certificate is issued as soon as the certification fee is confirmed.

Can one certificate cover several brands?

No. One certificate covers one operation — one brand and its domains. A group with several brands applies once per brand.

How are fees paid?

In USDT on the TRON network (TRC20), monthly or yearly. Every invoice has a unique amount so the payment is matched automatically.

Domains and mirrors

Why only DNS TXT records?

A DNS record can be created only by whoever controls the domain, and it can be checked by anyone at any time. E-mail or file checks can be faked or left behind; a TXT record is checked again on every scan.

We need a new domain because the old one is blocked. What do we do?

Add the domain in the panel, create its TXT record and start using it once it shows as verified. Our mirror search finds domains used without being added.

What happens to a mirror domain you find?

You see it in the panel. Either add it to the certificate (with its TXT record) or tell us it is not yours. A domain serving your brand outside the certificate ends up on the uncertified-sites list.

Players

How do I check a site?

Click the seal on the site, or type the domain into the validator. A site is certified only if its exact domain is listed on a certificate in force.

The seal says "Not valid". What does it mean?

Either the certificate was withdrawn, or the site you are on is not one of its domains — for example a copy of a certified site. Do not deposit; report the site.

Can you get my money back?

We require the operator to answer your complaint and act on its certificate when it breaches our standards. We are not a court or a regulator and cannot award compensation.
